In my last post I told you about the 10 best experiences of my round the world solo trip, but in life there are good and bad moments and traveling is no exception. I didn’t suffer any major mishap, but I did have some bad moments. Nothing too serious and today I laugh about them. Ready to laugh with me?
RTW month 5: new continent, new challenges
After four months in Asia, on month five I moved on to Australia and New Zealand. That was a big change that came with new challenges. These are the reflections of my fifth month of solo travel, with a summary of the places I visited, the best moments I had and what’s next.
Jervis Bay: beautiful beaches and cute kangaroos
Jervis Bay, a short 3h drive south of Sydney, offers a unique experience: wonderful beaches which and a great National Park. The best is, however, that it’s very easy to see cute kangaroos!
Blue mountains: amusement in a National Park
The Blue Mountains are located only 2h by train from Sydney. Scenic World is a tourist complex in the south west of Katoomba, in the Blue Mountains, and I would personally define it as a mixture of a National Park and an amusement park: there is a skyway, a cable car and a railway that are attractions by themselves.
Sydney, my dream: could I live there?
Australia was and has always been my childhood dream country. As a kid I dreamt of koalas and kangaroos, as an adult, of an exotic place to live. So in my round the world trip I could not skip Australia and try to imagine how it would be to live, at least, in one of its cities.
