In Saaremaa I lived the most magic moment of my trip. Saaremaa is the largest island of Estonia, and there are forests, tiny villages and farms, lighthouses, ancient windmills and even meteorite craters!
Viljandi, quiet and charming
Viljandi is a town with a charming old center with colorful wooden houses and small streets. Even though the weather was not good, I went to discover the long lake by the town.
Narva, the eastern limit
‘After a lot of travelling, you understand that the best place to be is… at home’ – told me a person I met in Narva, a city which is different from all the other European cities I’ve seen.
Tallin, much more than the Old Town
Tallin is famous for its medieval Old Town, but it has much more to offer. Discovering the town is like changing channels in the television, all genres are included: medieval, romantic, history, nature and sports, even horror. And I wanted to see them all.
My first solo travel: a reassuring, uplifting experience
When I decided to do a round-the-world trip, I had never travelled alone (how would it be? would I feel lonely or unsafe?). So I did a test: I spent two weeks exploring Estonia on my own.
