A lot of people has the same reaction when I tell that I will be travelling alone during my year-long round-the-world trip: ‘you’re brave! aren’t you scared?’. Does makes me wonder… does one need to be brave for travelling alone? And/ or travelling long term?

I was ready to hear all kinds of comments. I had read in other blogs about unsupportive family and friends, about people being told they were crazy… How was it for me? This is some of the feedback I received.
My first solo travel: a reassuring, uplifting experience
When I decided to do a round-the-world trip, I had never travelled alone (how would it be? would I feel lonely or unsafe?). So I did a test: I spent two weeks exploring Estonia on my own.
